Rossan Back

here’s my newest finished/semi-finished object! it still needs some buttons and i have to weave in my ends (story of my life). anyway, last saturday i fell in love with this sweater pattern and said off-handedly that i could probably knit it in a week, and one of my coworkers made a few jokes about it on monday. BUT I DID IT! i finished knitting it last night and sewed it up this morning. so there!

i knit the smallest size because the pattern recommended having 15 inches (!!!!!!) of ease. but, i knit at a slightly smaller gauge (we’re talking 1/8 stitch/inch at most) and it’s a little smaller than i’d like. i think i’ll be able to block it out well, though. i had pretty terrible blocking equipment at my disposal yesterday and today, so i think it can still be fixed.  it is big enough, though, so worst case scenario i don’t have a really boxy sweater and instead i have a plain old sweater.

pattern: rossan, from the debbie bliss donegal tweed collection
yarn: cascade ecowool (2 skeins!!!!!)
needles: size 10/10.5 US

ok, the final moments of rock of love 2 are going on right now and i need to concentrate.  see you later!

It looks lovely! I’m working on it as well, and I’m wondering if you found an error in the pattern for the sleeve: the schematic says 46 cm, whereas the text says 60 cm. I’m assuming 46 cm is the length of the piece (i.e., the cuff is not folded). I’m curious how you made yours. Thanks.
