the beginning of holiday crafting!

October 29, 2008

i’m seeing my ex boyfriend (we’re still close) this weekend and i probably won’t for a while, so i finished his holiday presents early! his outerwear consists of flannels and hoodies and he’s a soy-product-loving vegan, so i figured i’d make him a flannel-inspired scarf out of swtc pure soysilk.

it came out so well i want it! unfortunately i already have a hoodie in this print, i think that might be a LITTLE TOO MUCH flannel for me.

with the leftovers, i knit him this vegan-edge sweater for a tiny stuffed rat i bought at ikea. i’m pretty sure it’ll be a home run. that’s an intarsia “X” on the back. hah.

i used about 1.5 skeins of each color for all of this combined. NICE.

    Dear Fuchsia,

That scarf is kind of amazing and I want to have it’s babies. It doesn’t help that I have a scarf problem, in that I own at least 10 different scarves. Oh well.

    Love,

    Nicole
